It kept resetting the homepage to www.msn.com . Changing the value of the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page to point at the correct homepage did the trick. Now if only my bank did not insist on IE…
